"What is SwimVox?"

"SwimVox is a large-scale, independent visitor study for public swimming pools. It was developed with academic partners such as the Mulier Instituut and Ghent University, and with sector organisations such as the Vereniging Sport en Gemeenten and the Netwerk Lokaal Sportbeleid. More than 300 pools have already taken part."

"Is taking part labour-intensive for my pool?"

"No. The study follows a ready-to-use process in three steps: you confirm your participation, you provide the characteristics of your pool via the research platform, and you promote the survey using the communication materials provided. The research team personalises and sets up your survey."

"What does it cost to take part?"

Accepted Answer

"The participation fee depends on the number of inhabitants of the municipality in which your pool is located and ranges from €900 to €1,075, excluding VAT. Everything is included: questionnaire, dashboard, report, benchmark, communication materials and helpdesk. Groups receive a tailored offer."

"When can I take part?"

"Registration is open all year round. After registering, you choose the moment that best suits the way your pool operates. You can run the study over a longer period or choose specific time windows."

"Who do we survey?"

Accepted Answer

"The target group consists of the visitors to your pool: swimmers, but also those who come along without swimming themselves, such as parents with children. If you wish, you can also involve lapsed visitors and non-visitors. The dynamic survey recognises these profiles and shows them only the questions that are relevant to them."

"Which pools is the study suitable for?"

Accepted Answer

"Every type of public swimming pool, small or large, indoor or outdoor, whatever its offer, structure or location. The study is scalable: from the smallest municipal pool to the largest aquatic complex. There is a tailored offer for groups of pools."

Question 7

"In which languages is the survey available?"

Accepted Answer

"In Dutch, English, French and German. You choose the languages in which you offer the survey. The number of languages has no effect on the participation fee."

Question 8

"How do I reach my visitors?"

Accepted Answer

"You receive a personal link and QR code, plus communication materials and a briefing on sampling strategies. The survey is fully responsive and works on computers, tablets and smartphones. Around 80 percent of respondents complete the questionnaire in full."

"Is the survey anonymous and GDPR-compliant?"

Accepted Answer

"Yes. No personal data is collected from respondents. Your results remain confidential and are shared only with the contact persons you designate. All data is stored on secure servers within the European Union."
